How to create the perfect wedding gift

How to create the perfect wedding gift

Growing up in a family where the dinner table is double the  size of the usual, where the
preparation requires a week and presents were overflowing on the special days.
This is how I usually spent my Christmas, birthdays, and many other occasions.
When I was a little girl, I was always bubbling with excitement when waiting to open the lovely wrapped presents just like in the movies. The feeling was not because I was small, or just the gift inside,
it was the wrapping that showed how much effort and love the box contained.

Anytime I wrap a present I always make sure that it's personalised and gives that extra
touch that always got me so excited when I was a kid.
As this was the first time I was giving a wedding present I wanted to make sure it was perfect for 4
reasons.
Firstly this was made for a lovely couple; they mean a lot to me and a lot to my other half.
Secondly, every couple wants to make sure their happiest day is perfect
so the presents should be as perfect as the big day.
Thirdly, where I am from, we have different
traditions for weddings days,( I wrote a blog post about the differences between Hungarian and British weddings. Click here) so I was extremely delighted to put something unique together and of course, I am always happy when I can be creative.

My advice would be to anyone who wants to create a unique wedding gift
to make sure :

1)
-Goes with the invitation,
When you receive your letter, you will have a little idea what theme and colours will be on the day so that could be a help for you to build
the gift around that. Our was a little vintage with pastel colours, so this was what I tried to give
back on the wrapping.

2)
- Be creative,
you are attending someone's big day, so you want to show that the
gift is unique as their day and not something you just wrapped up and put a bow on it!

3)
-personalise,
what is inside the box is also as important as the outside.
You do not have to spend a lot on gifts, but you need to make sure you buy the right one!

4)
-Do not leave it until the last minute,
If you want to create something beautiful, you need to make sure you have enough time to do that. Even if you order online or go to a store, it will take some time to collect everything and then to wrap it all up.
